First, I want to thank you for a fabulous trip that you set-up for me! Your team is very professional and fun. The mobile phone was very helpful to me. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about Viet Nam, sans the horrible train ride to and from Lao Cai, & hope to return again The cooking class was a great experience. Thank you for adding that. I absolutely love Hue. It was my favorite city on the stop and the hotel Gerbera is top notch!! I loved all my guides, especially Tue and Quang. Tue is so smart and his English is the best. I learned so much from that man. What an asset to Viet Nam Today Travel. And Quang saved the day in Saigon. He is just a lovely young man, very professional and extremely fun and funny. He made me laugh the whole time and treated me like I was family. The woman in Mekong was so sweet too. I do not remember her name. 
Can you help me here? Le in Sa Pa was great too, because he is really enmeshed with the tribal people and they seem to like and trust him very much.

We arrived Spain on Sunday.
I didn't contact you before, because I had a lot of work in my work.
We write to inform you that all were ok, and we enjoy a lot.
Just let you know that was great. The guides were very friendly and very attentive, they did all for us.
Thank you very much too for the presents, we like very much. 
Vietnam and Laos countries are very beautiful and different from ours, so it was a very enjoyable and rewarding, to return again.
Also let you know that we had a problem with the customs office of exit, when we entered Laos, paid the visa, they put the entry stamp, like everything to do the guide, we did not check the passports, and in my passport had not the enter seal, then in Vientiane, the police wanted that I must to return to the top (customs were we enter to Laos) for me to put the seal, if not, could not get out of Laos, at the end we solve it by paying $ 100. I paid and we take the flight.

Our hotels on our itinerary were always very nice and clean. Two of our favorites were the River Beach Resort in Hoi An and the Angkor Holiday Hotel in Siem Reap. Both were simply amazing for food, service, value and decor. 
Also, Our guides were all wonderful and received top scores on the evaluations. Three guides went above and beyond our expectations. Vietnam Discovery 12 days - from 31 Mar – 1 Apr, 2013

We did mean to email you sooner than this but life returned to its usual hectic pace on our return home. We would like to thank you for the wonderful trip we had in Vietnam which exceeded our expectations. 
We were overall very pleased with our guides (and drivers) who did make the trip very informative, fun and thoroughly enjoyable:- 
Anh in Hanoi was very polite, accommodating and informative. I guess as she is relatively young and "new" to her role, it was at times a little challenging to understand her, requiring perhaps more concentration on our part. She did however provide us with an informative and enjoyable experience of Hanoi. 
The Halong Bay cruise was fantastic! The staff and activities were all great - the cooking class was a real bonus! We would have done 2 nights instead of one if we had known….. 
Mr Huang in Hue was a gem! His enthusiasm certainly rubbed off on us making Hue one of our favourites - his knowledge of the history, passion for the subject and easy-going manner made this part of our tour thoroughly memorable. His friendly nature meant the kids felt quite comfortable asking him questions - this would suggest they were actually listening and were interested!! 
The free time in Hoi An was well appreciated. A rest, some shopping and some lovely food and photos. 
In Ho Chi Minh City, we were greeted at the airport by Mr Hao who did seem rather serious initially. Our first impressions were obviously incorrect (think his glasses were broken and he wasn't quite himself) as over the next 3 days, we really appreciated his knowledge of the region which he imparted with a great sense of humour while he entertained us with his many anecdotes. He even managed to persuade us to try the various wines including snake wine!! The kids felt very comfortable with him and he did seem to go out of his way to make sure we were looked after. The Mekong Delta was another one of our favourite highlights.
If there was a negative part to the whole trip it was perhaps the restaurant in Tay Ninh. The food was very average (perhaps the least appetising of our entire trip) and the staff was certainly not typical of our experience in Vietnam - one female member of staff actually informed us that a certain brand of beer was unavailable then proceeded to serve it to other tables - I am quite certain that it was not a language problem…. I understand that being a relatively small village that it is the only "restaurant" suited to tourists but in hindsight we would have been happy to skip Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh altogether. 
Overall, we had a fantastic tour and would be very happy to recommend Travel Vietnam to friends and family. The customised tour with our own guide, driver and transport meant we weren't under any pressure to meet "deadlines" and were free to enjoy the sights/experiences at our own pace. The choice of accommodation was also excellent.

we returned home safely after our Vietnam-travel. 
At all times our guides and drivers were present upon arrival and we never had any problems being lost. Due to the mobile phone we were able to contact them in times outside of their service. 
We were able to visit and see all of the travel program points you offered. They were shown and described in depth by our guides. We had very good contact to all guides and drivers. 
It was a very interesting time even (and expected) it was no relax tour. 
Especially the first days were very busy and the trip in the night train to Sapa and the trip back to Hanoi was a bit inconvenient (no heating in the train, the beds were a bit clamp, very early arrival). 
It was quite an experience to see how your country recovered after the war time. We enjoyed that our travel time was just before the tet-festival and we were able to see all the beautiful decorations and the crowds of lucky people. We were impressed on the heavy traffic in the cities. 
Please consider this as a first comment. After all impressions have settled we may send more comments.

We wanted to thank you for arranging the most amazing trip of our lives for us! 
You and your team were so professional in putting together a trip including everything we wanted to see and do. 
Travelling in a foreign (non-English speaking) country is often daunting - but there was a friendly driver to meet us at every stop, and a very knowledgeable guide at every destination. 
Our Vietnam and Cambodia trip was so wonderful, we have recommended it to all our family and friends. 
We found the country to be clean, the people friendly and helpful, it was not too expensive and the food was amazing! 
We also got engaged on our last day at Angkor Wat - it was a very special day for us! 
Our every day was filled with new adventures... 
Herewith a brief list of our encounters: 
Hanoi was amazing! We loved the old quarter, temples, war history museum, shopping and water puppet show. Simply wondering around the streets and watching the people was fun. 
Halong Bay was simply breath-taking! We could not get enough of the scenery. It is a must !!! 
Hoi An was definitely our favourite city. We could not get enough of this place - the old quarter was incredible, the old buildings and little shops were so authentic. The fact that they do not allow vehicles in this part made it so peaceful and one could enjoy the sounds and smells of the little shops far better. We rode around on bicycles and felt so safe, we had beautiful clothes made, did a fun cooking course at Gioan, walked along the river illuminated by colourful lanterns at night and had a massage at our lovely hotel spa (this was our favourite hotel!!). We regret not having another day at this destination! My Son was very interesting but our feeling was that if people are also going to Angkor Wat then My Son isnt neccesary as the tombs are far more impressive at Angkor Wat. Hue was not a highlight on our list, maybe because it rained all day - but we did enjoy seeing the Citadel and the Puppet King's Tomb. 
We spent New Year's eve in Saigon (Western New Year) and the whole city was illuminated by lights and lanterns and there was even a fireworks display on the river at midnight. We also enjoyed the big market, where the shopping was great and we got to taste delicious fruit that we had never seen before. This city has a lovely vibe to it. The location and quality of the hotel was great as we were within walking distance to many of the Museums and restaurants. 
We visited the Cu Chi tunnels and valued the history that we learned about - it's worth the visit. Duncan absolutely loved it as he is a history enthusiast and he got to shoot a machine gun. 
The Mekong Delta was wonderful! It was incredible to see how people live on the water, and walking among the small industries gave us a much better perspective of daily life in this area . 
We travelled to Phnom Penh by boat and saw more floating villages and rural life. 
We visited the Killing Fields and museum at Phnom Penh, this was a very disturbing experience, very sad that a genocide happened there so recently. We regret not having time to visit the royal palace; it looked very impressive from the outside. We enjoyed watching the people dance and exercise along the river in the late afternoon. If time allows it, people should try and have 2 nights here. 
We do not recommend taking a boat to Siem Reap - it was 8hrs long, hot, cramped and uncomfortable. Rather fly! 
Siem Reap was absolutely incredible!!! The many old temples are amazing to see, each with it's own unique story and character. Our favourites were Angkor Wat where we watched the sun rise, Angkor Tom with the giant stone faces, and Ta Prohm with the trees growing over the ancient ruins. Pub street is also not to be missed, it was very festive and the food was great. 
Overal, we felt the tour you designed for us was very well run. Having the drivers and guides made life much easier for us to get around without wasting a lot of time. Most of the guides were exceptional with their manner, and their knowledge was wonderful. Our best guides were from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. The hotels were lovely, well located and the breakfasts were delicious. 
We will cherish our memories from our Vietnam & Cambodia trip forever - and hopefully one day, we will be able to bring our children to come and experience this wonderful destination!

EXCLUSIVE INDOCHINA DISCOVERY - from 12 Dec 2011 to 29 Dec 2011

Both Zac and I enjoyed our trip. It was well put to-gether and we thank you for all your efforts and professionalism. You offered us a superior product and will recommend your agency to others. Here are a few suggestions:
Myanmar - First of all we did not know that this was a CASH only economy and therefore was not fully prepared.. Lucky for us we had $120.00 and of that we had to pay $20.00 for our departure tax. We used the $100.00 for tips to our guides, drivers and porters. It was a very stressful period for us as we only enjoyed breakfast and did without lunches and dinners. We would have liked to have spending monies with us for souvenirs. I recommend that you prepare a checklist of Things to Know Before You Go for all of your international clients. 
For us tipping is rewarding for good service, however; because we had so many different guides, drivers and service handlers ( busy boys, hotel maids, cyclo drivers etc) it became a bit too much with the constant preparation for finding monies to tip, complciated by the fact hat we had to deal with so many different currencies. Each day we ending up tipping at least five or more individuals. This detracted from the vacation. You may wish to include a general porterage in your package for the services paid for. This constant pressure to find monies for tipping was a bit too much and distracting from enjoyment of the vacation. For example, when we travelled to China in 2009 we were only responsible for tipping our guide - all other service providers were taken care of by the tour company.
Other than that, I would have enjoyed a day at the spa or a stay at a luxurious beach or lakeside resort for a couple days. I also suggest that you include some very contemporary stuff as well - a visit to a modern art gallery etc as options. Mandalay was a disappointment especially the tour to Palace etc. We loved Bagan and seeing Rangoon. We enjoyed our tour of Vietnam and Cambodia.

Be sure that we have had a wonderful travel and in part that is thanks to you and to your excellent organisation.
I can give very good references about you to my friends and relatives. Nevertheless, and I know that is not your fault, honestly we have to say that the problem with the traffic in Hanoi and Saigon could be very uncomfortable for a tourist like us, that likes very much walking around the city. May be you and other tourist operators could press the authority for them to impose a little order and the international traffic's rules.
I've answered your questionnaire, but I don't know if you'll receive it, because it had appeared a strange message after sending. In case not, I have no problems in doing again.

I want to tell you that our trip in Vietnam was fantastic for what we have seen. Vietnam is a wonderful country and we just regretted not to have 3-4 days more to see something else.
We were very surprised and so pleased about your fantastic organization. Everything was so perfect. Very good hotels, very good guides, fantastic drivers and cars.
