Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda
Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, just a short distance Northeast of Shwedagon, is very famous for the Reclining Buddha image.

The Image completed in an impressive 65 meters long, 16 meters high; and is wearing a golden robe. Reclining Buddha image is also known as “the 'Sweet-Eyed Buddha, with the large eyes (made from special imported Japanese glass), white face, red lips, blue eye shadow. The soles of the feet contain 108 segments in red and gold colors, showing images of 108 Buddha’s lakshanas or auspicious characteristics.
Visitors can see the long line of Buddhists surrounding the Image offers flowers, and burning incense sticks to show their respect to the Buddha every day.
It is said that the amazing Reclining Buddha image cannot be missed by any visitor to Yangon.
