The National Museum

The National Museum of Myanmar, located in Dagon, is the main museum of Burmese art, history and culture.
Founded in 1952, the five-story museum has an extensive collection of ancient artifacts, works of art, weaponry, musical instruments and paintings, inscriptions and memorabilia, related to history, culture and civilization of Burmese people. The highlight the Museaum is the Sihasana, or Lion Throne, which was the throne of King Thibaw Min- the last king of Myanmar.
